Mow-Sure training  began in 2017 to meet the need within the landbased industry for good quality machinery training


Ian Sumpter

Ian Sumpter of Mow-Sure Training Ltd has been involved in the Turf care industry since the early 1980s. Working in different roles from Amenity Horticulture, sports turf management through to training.  From 2002 - 2017 Ian had a key service Manager & Training Manager role working for one of the leading machinery manufacturers. He is an accomplished trainer that understands the turfcare industry.

Ian is qualified as;

  • City & Guilds Trainer/assessor
  • Lantra Instructor/Assessor
  • Lantra Technical Verifier
  • Qualified Adult education Teacher and Assessor
  • Engineering Technician registered IMechE
  • End Point Assessor for Greenkeeper apprentice standards
Today Ian  has been instrumental in developing the apprenticeship end point assessment standards for turfcare, landbased machinery apprentices.

We developed the first train the trainer course designed for customers to deliver their own staff operator training relevant to the turfcare industry

Ian Sumpter continues to write articles on machinery topics published in magazines such as, Greenkeeper international and the Groundsman magazine.

Ian Sumpter has provided expertise for  Tournament Support including a European Tour Event
